LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH. 1 A GREAT CHANGE IN CHURCH DOCTRINE. Today, revival is a popular subject and I am grateful for that. I well remember a day when it was not even accepted. Matter of fact, it was heresy to believe in a last day move of God. Now everyone is preaching it. Thank the Lord. REVIVAL IS PRECEDED BY A CLEANSING. Isa. 1:25. Any time the hand of the Lord is made manifest there is going to be a great change. The word, turn, can variously mean, bring again, convert, deliver or to carry home again, plus a variety of other meanings. A mighty work of sanctification to be wrought. Purged to purity or holiness. Language that is used in the smelting of metals. That requires heat, the church coming to revival will experience both the heat of persecution and the purging fire of the Spirit. Jesus said: He would baptize with the Holy Ghost and FIRE. We have the sign {tongues} today but little fire of purging, it will come! THE SIGN OF HIS LOVE FOR US. Rev. 3:19 In a permissive society correction is rarely acceptable, especially in the church. To be rebuked is a manifestation of HIS LOVE. To be chastened of the Lord, makes known His LOVE. To be called to repentance is the great mercy of the Lord. How gracious of Him to grant us the opportunity to repent and turn whole heartedly to Him once again. Practice zeal in this area of spiritual life, do it now with all of your heart. The blessing of the Lord is in it. THE FAN OR WINNOWING FORK IS IN HIS HAND. Luke 3:17 What a tumult in the life of the wheat as it is repeatedly shoveled and thrown into the air, falling to the winnowing floor only to be picked up and tossed again into the wind as the process of separation proceeds. Feel it? However long it takes for the wheat to be separated from the chaff the process will continue. He will thoroughly purge, perfect cleansing, full and complete. This is the necessary process to produce a harvest, for He will bring His wheat into the granary. The wheat is precious, it has value and is the rejoicing of the laborer. The chaff is to be burned or destroyed. Lord haste the day when all this shall be accomplished. LOVE THE KEY. 1 Cor. 13:1 Regardless of how spiritual one may appear to be the Lord has standards. Speaking in tongues is not sufficient, though it is vital, if motivated by the Holy Spirit, the languages of this earth and of heaven fall short of the goal which the Lord has established. Love without the Spirit will come up short. The Spirit without love is blah. It is used attempting to convince others of a persons spirituality and is obnoxious. Love has to be mutual, it is a two way street. There is no question of the love of Christ for us. If our love seemingly falls short, then He will fill us with His love until we can reciprocate in kind and love Him with an amazing love. Then we can fulfill His divine love and love our neighbors as ourselves. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 2 A LAST DAYS MESSAGE. Isa.2:2 The mount of the Lords house. The time when He will bring the church to the very highest of its spirituality. This revival will result in the Bride of Christ being formed and brought into being. The mountain top is the summit, the apex of a kingdom. A LAST DAY EVENT. Isa.30:29 The bride to come to the mountain of the LORD with rejoicing and great gladness of heart. It is a time of majestic celebration. It is the preparation for the marriage of the Lamb. This mountain shall be established, a mountain of perpetuity. A mountain of perfection. Standing tall above all other kingdoms that are past or present. It is the mountain of the great, eternal KING. They are coming to the mighty One, the Rock, the Lord Jesus. His true church is built on the Rock. v.30 His sheep hear His voice and follow Him. This glorious event will precede the final judgments. Dan. 2:35 The victory and tremendous growth of the stone that will become a mountain. Every other object of worship will be completely destroyed. The mountain of the Lord will lead us into the Millennial reign of Christ. His glory will fill the whole world. Ps. 68:16 This is to be His eternal dwelling place, His Temple, the house of the Lord. This is the New Jerusalem of the book of Revelation. Zech. 8:3 Many descriptive names are used in relationship to that city, here it is called the city of TRUTH. God is TRUTH. Grace and TRUTH came by the Lord Jesus. Where God dwells, there is the very heart and spirit of TRUTH to be found. It is also called the mountain of the LORD of hosts. One of the compound names of Jehovah. Illustrating that He is LORD of all, the LORD ALMIGHTY. It is likewise called the HOLY mountain. For sure, it is the absolute manifestation of the HOLINESS, that is the very nature and being of the LORD. THE HOPE OF ALL NATIONS. The peoples of the world, even today, are ripe unto harvest. They shall flow, or come sparkling like a stream unto the mountain of the Lord. The glory of the Lord will be seen in great power and majesty upon them as they make their way into the house of the Lord. Jer.31:12 They come singing, {shouting, NIV} Both are good for it shows that they are glad and joyous as they enter that eternal abode. They are coming to the goodness or the bounty of the Lord. The spiritual blessing prepared for those who enter in, is likened to a well watered garden, and well it might be, for this is the time when the Spirit will be received without measure or in complete fullness. This is the ultimate, the time of the Temple being occupied. The completeness of the Godhead will dwell in the perfected Bride. Sorrow and mourning will have ceased for those who are a part of the City of God, the New Jerusalem. We stand at the brink of the greatest move of God, ever, past, present and future. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH. 3 THE PREEMINENCE OF THE WORD. Isa.2:3 He will teach us. Jn. 14:26 The greatest teacher has been granted to the church. He has come to teach us the ways of the Lord. He will make known or reveal the Word of God to the church. Because of misuse many have become fearful of even the word revelation. That does not take away the legitimacy of a true revelation of the Spirit and the Word. The two agree. No revelation will exceed the Word or be contrary to the Word. We have the right to test all revelation by the Word. Proper directions always come from the Word and the Spirit. Isa. 30:21 The voice of the Spirit is in the Word. This is the way, walk in it. We have the more sure Word of prophecy. The utterances of man can be and are corrupted, at times. We can be assured that we will not be led astray by the scriptures. When the Spirit anoints the Word to us, we learn to walk in the way of righteousness. In good paths. To scale obstacles and mountains. The Word becomes our guide post and road map. A church in revival will emphasize the teaching of the Word of God. It is one of the indications that revival is present. THE WORD GOING FORTH. Isa.2:3 The proclamation of the Word from Zion {the church} and from Jerusalem {the New Jerusalem}. Rom. 10:18 How far did the early church carry the Gospel message? From the words of Paul we are given to understand that it covered all the earth even to the ends of the world. In that generation they fulfilled the command of the Lord Jesus. Now, in the end of the age that same Gospel is being preached to the whole world. One may not always agree with what is said, for all that is said is not necessarily good Gospel, but we must admit that the Gospel is being preached. By radio, TV and Internet the world is being covered. In some instances into areas where a missionary could not go. Light that Word with the fire of the Spirit and you have revival. A moving of the Spirit that supersedes all the efforts of men. God is in control and will accomplish His purpose in this world. HE WILL JUDGE THE NATIONS. Isa. 1:26 a sign of revival is the return of proper, Spiritual leadership. Judges and counselors, men chosen for the work of the ministry, not necessarily professional but anointed and called to their proper position in the body of Christ. Again, in Isa.2:4 He shall judge, the He, being the Lord Jesus. Isa.11:4 His judgment will not be according to what he will see, nor after the things that are told Him or whispered in His ears. His judgment is with righteousness, with mercy, He will have pity upon those who have gone astray. There is a judgment that produces a good work, an act of repentance and spiritual remorse. Some judgment is beneficial. There is also the other side of judgment which will bring a penalty, even eternal separation from the Lord and the things of the Lord. Revival, brings judgment against sin. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 4 AN AMAZING PROPHECY. Isa. 19:16-17 In recent history Egypt has attacked Israel with disastrous results for themselves. It is obvious that there was an intervention by the hand of the Lord in a mighty way. This statement by Isaiah was executed. When the Lord creates a spirit of fear in the hearts of the people they are defeated. God was against Egypt. But it was for a purpose. The Lord is not yet through with the middle east. The last day revival will bring multitudes to repentance. Gen. 32:14-15 Jacob, when he returned to meet Esau sent an offering of five {number of atonement} droves to Esau. Gen. 32:28 Jacob had a name and nature change. Gen. 32:30 Jacob had a face to face encounter with the Lord. Jacob bowed himself to the ground, seven times, signifying total humility. Gen.33:4 They fell on each others neck. Revival will break out when there is a reconciliation, brought about by a recognition that Jesus is Lord. Only by and in Christ Jesus can Jew and Arab be reconciled. SPIRITUAL AWAKENING. Isa. 19:18-19 Five is the number of atonement. Any work of the Spirit that is wrought at this time must be on the basis of the only atonement, the blood of the Lord Jesus. They speak the language of Canaan, humility, in other words they will humble themselves before the Lord. The city of destruction, the old life, the old way destroyed that there might be a new. The Companion Bible calls it the city of righteousness. Revival moves us from destruction to righteousness. Worship of Jehovah reinstated in the midst or the heart of Egypt. A pillar, or a witness to Jehovah at the border of the land. This gives the impression of a complete coverage of the country with Gospel. THE LORD SOUGHT AFTER. Isa. 19:20-21 Oppression and affliction will cause a crying out unto Jehovah. Wonderfully, He will respond by sending them a savior bringing them salvation. A great one, a champion, One who is able to meet their every need. A deliverer. Jehovah shall be KNOWN unto them. This is a great word according to Strongs Dictionary, it can mean, kinsman, kinsfolk, acquaintance and familiar friend, amongst others. The Lord is not willing that any should perish. Note, Ps.98:2 Salvation is for all. Sacrifice and oblation made complete in the sacrifice of the Son of God, this they will accept. A vow, a promise made to serve the LORD and will keep it. That is revival. JUDGMENT PRODUCING DELIVERANCE. Isa. 19:22 Egypt to be smitten of the LORD. There is the inference of being smitten with a plague, or what ever form of punishment might be used it is according to the plan and will of the LORD. Having stricken them He will turn to them in healing virtue and make them to be well and whole. They will return to the LORD and find Him to be their savior. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 5 A HIGHWAY. Isa. 19:22 A way of communication, unifying the two countries. Producing commerce, tourism and in general unity. Assuming, Syria to be a continuation of Assyria would make the neighbors of Israel on their borders to be united, however Israel is not out of this picture at all. ISHAMEL. Having noted the coming unity between Esau and Jacob or Arab and Jew, it is needful to consider Ishmael in this equation. We know that Ishmael is the son of Abraham. Islam is the religion of Ishmael. As the Israelites claim their genealogy from Abraham through Isaac, so the Arab nations hold to Ishmael. Gen. 17:18 Abraham prayed that Ishmael might live before the Lord. v. 20 The response of the Lord was that Ishmael would become a great nation. v.19,21 The covenant was to be with Isaac. It is interesting to note that both of these boys were named of the Lord. It is the name Ishmael that we want to consider at this point. ISHMAEL, means God will hear. The descendants of Ishmael gather together for the final prayer of the day which is to the Nabi Isa, or the Prophet Jesus. Jn. 6:14 While, Jesus is recognized as a prophet He is much more. First and foremost He is the savior of the whosoever will. God will hear, and try as they will to hinder the workings of the Spirit, there will be a great revival amongst the Jews and Arabs. They will yet fall on each others necks, because of the love of Christ. Gen. 16:13 She proclaimed the God whom she had seen and who had looked upon her. Beer-lahai-roi, the well of the living (One) my seer. A well speaks of an outpouring of the Spirit, it is coming! This well is located between Kadesh (sanctuary) and Bered (hail). The Lord Jesus is our sanctuary and a hail of great proportions (Rev. 16:21) will be a part of the judgments of the second coming of Christ. UNITY. Isa.19:24 The three nations to be at peace and actually cooperate. Politically, in agreement with each other. Spiritually, unified as only Christ can break down the walls of partition and create unity. Israel must take the lead. Zech. 8:13 Israel to switch from being a trouble maker to being a blessing. Could they only see that this is the only way of tranquillity in their land. Num. 6:27 His name Jehovah, the Lord Jesus Christ to be upon them. Egypt blessed, and called by God, MY PEOPLE. This is only possible in Christ. But the Lord said it! Assyria the work of HIS HANDS. Eph. 2:10 The workmanship of the Lord Jesus. New creatures in Christ Jesus. The work of His hands is always perfect. ISRAEL, the inheritance of the Lord. Deut. 32:9 The portion of the Lord is His people. At this time they are a nation trusting in themselves, consequently they are in constant conflict. When they recognize Jesus as their Messiah, things will change. Peace will come and the multitudes of the earth will turn to the Lord in that great last day revival. GLORY TO GOD!!!!!! LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 6 A WRONG ACTION BY A KING. Isa. 6:1 King Uzziah {Jehovah is strong} died for an act of transgression. He learned about the strength of the Lord. 2 Chr. 26:16-21 His heart was filled with pride. He was bold to assume the office of the Priest for which he was not called nor anointed. Nor was he consecrated to the office of a priest. He was completely out of place. He was immediately afflicted with leprosy and was excluded from the Temple until his death. A desecration of the Spiritual can only produce a judgment. There was and is a need for a new vision and the Lord was and was about to give it. ISAIAH SAW THE LORD. Isa. 6:1 What an experience. It was life changing. He saw the Throne of the Lord. It was high, to be exalted, to lift up on high. Far above all other authorities and powers. It was lifted up, extolled, the focal point of all worship and praise. HIS TRAIN, or the bottom edge of his royal robe, the extremity, typical of the end of the age, when the Glory of His presence will be made manifest. This is related to the hem of a garment, which was of significant meaning. On the hem of the robe of the High Priest (Ex. 28:33-34) pomegranates of three colors were twisted together, made of fine linen and suspended from his robe. The three colors tightly twined together speak of the Triunity or the Godhead, bound together in perfect, absolute unity. The blue is a type of the Holy Spirit. The purple or the Royal nature of the Father, while the scarlet is that which portrays the Son of Sacrifice, the Lord Jesus. The pomegranates themselves are a type of the fruitfulness of the Lord in a multiplicity of seed. The golden bells, the righteousness, of the God who inhabits eternity. The sounding forth of the Gospel message, as long as Israel heard the tinkling of the bells they knew that the High Priest was alive and ministering before the altar of incense. Lk. 8:44 She but touched the hem of His garment and was immediately healed. Num. 15:38-40 Were He following tradition, Jesus would have been wearing a robe with the blue fringe and tassels on it. The promises of the WORD and the operation of the SPIRIT bring the fulfillment of the work of the Lord in our lives. Only a touch releases the power and force of the Almighty to work on our behalf, meeting and supplying our every need. THE ROYAL HEAVENLY train filled the Temple. It is the good pleasure of the Lord to fill His people with the presence of Himself, it always has been and is certainly His ultimate goal for those who are His. Ex. 40:34 The Lord showed His good pleasure by filling the Tabernacle with the presence of Himself. The Cloud and glory of the Almighty were manifest in a visible manner. Moses, for all his past experiences was not able to enter in, so powerful was the presence of the Lord. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 7 ABOVE THE THRONE STOOD THE SERAPHIM. Isa. 6:2 Seraphim or the burning ones, The word in Hebrew is saraph and means burning. Figuratively, it means serpent. Num. 21:6 It is translated serpent in this incident where judgment took place in the lives of the Israelites. Num. 21:8 The remedy was a serpent of brass placed on a pole in the midst of the camp. Those bitten were to flee to the brazen serpent, look upon it and be healed. Jn. 3:14 As the serpent was lifted up, so was Jesus crucified for us. Bitten by sin? Bound by habits? Under condemnation? Look and live!!! THESE SHINNING, GLOWING BEINGS are not evil but rather they are righteous and conquerors. They are champions of the faith. These LIVING CREATURES are positioned as being protectors of redemption and the Throne. Through them the Lord has brought forth the plan of salvation for all men. Eze. 1:4 Ezekiel saw the glory of the Lord. He explains what he saw in graphic language, as an immense cloud accompanied by flashing lightening and brilliant light. The midst of it like glowing metal in a fire. What else would we expect when our God is a consuming fire and He baptizes with the Holy Ghost and FIRE. v.5 In the midst of this blaze of fire and glory appear the seraphim or four living creatures. They are in the likeness of a man, for they are men. v.6 They are identical, showing their unity in the grand plan of the Lord. Each one has the same set of faces and four wings. We will note a difference here between their appearance here and that in Isaiah and the Revelation. Here their wings are only four, depicting the four thousand years from Adam to Christ. When we see them with six wings the measurement of time reaches down to the end or the conclusion of the six thousand years of man on earth. Their feet are indicative of their work and ministry on earth. The Hebrew word is yashar, to be straight or even, to make right, pleasant or prosperous. These men were leaders of the saints, each in his time on earth. v.7 Their part in atonement is evidenced by the calf's feet. Lev. 11:3 The calf was a clean, or pure animal and could be eaten and sacrificed. Their feet sparkled or gleamed, glowing with the fire of the Lord. Burnished brass is the manifestation of the glory of the Lord, especially in judgment. v.8 The hand, the impartation of the power of the Lord. The hand is a sign that these living creatures are men. Eze. 8:3 The hand of the Lord brought revelation to Ezekiel. While the Lord took him by handful of hair, {the Lord has a sense of humor}, the Spirit lifted him up and transported him where he was given visions and saw the glory of the Lord. He also saw the judgments of the Lord that were to come upon Israel because of the multitude of abominations that they were committing. The Lord is merciful and will warn the people before visiting to punish evil doers. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 8 The Seraphim. Eze. 1:9 The unity of the four living creatures is obvious and beautiful. It shows the singleness of heart, mind and purpose that is to be found in the heavenly. Their wings were joined as one, their movement was as one. Manifesting absolute, perfect harmony. This oneness is a work of the Spirit that will be one of the certain signs to be found in the last day church that is destined to become the Bride of Christ. PERFECTLY JOINED. 1 Cor. 1:10 As impossible as it seems, the true body of Christ will come together with one faith, one doctrine. That could well mean a humbling of ourselves and our ideas pertaining to the scriptures and an acceptance of the other fellows thoughts. {ugh, when I am so right}. Perfectly joined, fitly framed, joined as one in the Spirit who will teach us the truth of the WORD. The unifying factor is the NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Many members but one body. Oh glorious church of PERFECTION. Lord haste the day. No divisions, no disagreements, no squabbling. ALL ONE in Christ. Speaking and teaching the same thing. Joined together with Christ, joined together with one another. Not a man made thing but a mighty operation of the Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can unify the body of believers, and He will. THEIR LIKENESS. Eze. 1:10 Each of these four faces represent different individuals who were and are involved in the plan of God. It must be noted that all four faces represent a different aspect of the Son of God. The man, the man Christ Jesus. The lion, the lion of the tribe of Judah. The ox, the sacrificed one, Jesus. The eagle, the coming one who will carry His own unto himself. Each of these men had a ministry, under the leadership of the Lord, in which the Lord Jesus would have been deeply involved. THE MAN. This face would represent the prophetic man. The man Elijah. He was a prophet to whom the Lord had revealed the mysteries of the Most High. He knew and understood the second coming of Christ. If his understanding encompassed the end times, then he must have understood all that was to transpire between his time and the time of the end. Amos 3:7 The Lord does not withhold his secrets from those who walk with him. There is a pattern established here, if we want to know what the Lord is about to do, walk with Him. Close communion with Him will bring about the revelation of what He is planning to do. The voice of the Lord can be heard through the revelation of His Word. If we only knew how desperately the Lord wants to reveal his designs for our lives we would walk closer to Him. His will and schedule can be known through His Word. We need not go outside of the already recorded WORD OF GOD. It is all there. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 9 THE MAN. The prophet of the Most High God. 2 Ki. 2:11 Elijah and Elisha were separated by the chariot of fire. Elijah was about to be transported alive into heaven, while Elisha was going to begin his ministry. Elijah was transported up, into heaven by a whirlwind. A mighty manifestation of The Spirit of the Lord. He was not afforded a ride in the chariot. The work of Elijah is not yet finished. Mal. 4:5-6 He will precede the second coming with a message and ministry that will cause many who embrace the Law of Moses to turn to the Lord and proclaim that Jesus is Lord. Num. 2:10 When Israel set up their encampment it was the tribe of Ruben which was located on the south side of the tabernacle. This would place them at the right side of the tabernacle as it was always pitched facing the east, or sun rising. Ruben, {see ye a son} was the first born. They had the likeness of a man on their standard. Num. 2:16 When the camp was moved Ruben was second to move out. It is not the manhood of Christ that is vital but His Priesthood. Num. 2:9 Judah was first in rank in their marching order. This sign represents Elijah. THE LION. Eze. 1:10 It is fitting that Judah {praise} would be before the door of the tabernacle. Ps. 100:4 We are to enter into the house of the Lord with thanksgiving and praise. Their insignia was that of the lion. Rev. 5:5 This is representative of the one who is the LION of the TRIBE of Judah. Depicting the strong triumphant nature of the Lord Jesus. The fearsome, awesome one. They were to camp on the east side. Mt. 24:27 The coming of the Son of Man, the Lion of the tribe of Judah will be from the east, for Jesus compared His coming to the lightning that flashes out from the east. Judah was to set out first, as the leader and the first to go into battle. How much like our Lord who leads the way. 2 Thes. 1:8-9 His second coming is not a minor event, but one of the most destructive events in the history of mankind. As a Lion seeking revenge, as a flame of devouring fire. The ungodly will be punished with a destruction that is absolute and eternal. They will be abolished forever from the kingdom of our Lord and from the glory of the Eternal which will be manifest to and in the believers. What a glorious event, if one is on the right side of the fence. THE OX. Eze. 1:10 The animal of strength. An animal of sacrifice. It was Moses to whom God gave the Law of Sacrifice. He is the one associated with the ox. The number of animals sacrificed by Israel over the years must have been astronomical. The standard of Ephriam was that of the ox. They were situated on the west side of the tabernacle or to the back. They were the third rank in the marching order. THE EAGLE. Num. 2:25 The insignia of the tribe of Dan. They were located on the north of the tabernacle. Num. 2:31 They were the last in the marching order. Of the four living ones this is the sign of Enoch who was transported into heaven. Enoch walked with God. Jude 1:14 He was a prophet and saw the second coming. Heb. 11:5 He was a man of faith and pleased the Lord. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 10 THE SOUND OF HEAVEN. Isa. 6:3 The proclamation of the holiness of the Lord Almighty. Thrice holy, the sum and totality of Holiness. The one who is the very epitome of Holiness. His personality, His character, His whole being is Holy. He is the sacred one, the sanctuary of Holiness. Heaven echoes and reechoes with the praises of His Holiness. Ex. 15:11 There is nothing that can be compared to Him. None can equal Him in His majestic glory and holiness. The God of all Glory. The God of all competency, working works that cannot be equaled by any. He is worthy of all praise and worship. THE EARTH SHALL BE FILLED WITH HIS GLORY. Isa. 6:3 A positive promise that is for the near future. Num. 14:21 Does God live? Is He the giver of life? If so, His promises WILL BE executed. He is not a man that He should lie. He is the God of all truth. Hab. 2:14 The KNOWLEDGE of His glory, will be the order of the day. Men, comprehending and experiencing the marvelous outpouring of His Spirit upon all flesh. So great in volume and measure that it will be as widespread as the waters now cover the sea. THE VOICE OF MIGHT AND AUTHORITY. Isa. 6:4 The voice of Majesty, the shaking is not because of volume but because of the message that is presented. The voice of power and force. Yet gentle and soothing. Eze. 1:24 The glorious sound of their wings akin to the roaring of many waters. An awesome sound that would create peace, tranquillity and gladness and rejoicing in the hearts of those who know their God. It is the voice of the Almighty Himself. The voice of speech, the utterance of the Word. THE HOUSE WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE. Isa. 6:4 Smoke or a vapor, the presence of the Lord of glory. Ex. 40:34 At the dedication of the tabernacle, because it was His house, the Lord filled it with the presence of Himself. 1 Ki. 8:10 When the Ark of the Covenant was placed in the house of the Lord that same glorious manifest presence of the Lord was evident. 2 Chr. 7:1 At the conclusion of the prayer of Solomon, the glory of the Lord was once again made visible and the place was filled with His presence. So much so, that the priests could not enter to perform their services. He will fill His temple of these last days with the completeness of Himself. Hag. 2:6-7 A great shaking, the world and in particular our nation has been shaken by recent events. The Citizens of eighty-six countries of the world lost their lives in the WTC event. There is a shaking by the Lord to come. It is His wake up call to the world. He will visit His church in a manifestation of glory such as has never been known. He will fill His church with the fullness of Himself. The glory of the Lord will rest upon her attracting the world unto Christ. Revival and restoration are on the way. His perfect plan will be accomplished. He will do it! Related to the hem of a garment, which was of significant meaning. Ex. 28:33-34 On the hem of the robe of the High Priest, pomegranates of three colors, were twisted together of fine linen and suspended from his robe. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 11 A MUST IF THERE IS TO BE A REVIVAL. Isa. 6:5 The foundation and history of every revival is that of repentance. An acknowledgment of the HOLINESS of the Lord and the sinfulness of man. Isaiah was the chosen prophet of the Lord. Yet when saw the glory of the Lord, he immediately felt his unrighteousness and unworthiness to be found in the awesome presence of the Almighty. He had the sensation of perishing. He cried out in confession, first for himself and then for the people. He recognized his uncleanness and impurity, for he has seen the king, the Almighty. The most righteous of men cannot stand in the presence of the Holiness of the Lord without sensing his sinfulness and crying out in repentance. Repentance is the foundation of revival. The very fact that we feel we have no need of repenting, that we are all right, shows how badly we need to humble ourselves before the Lord. Let the Lord reveal Himself and the whole attitude of the church will be altered. THE SOLUTION. Isa. 6:6 A seraph ministered to Isaiah. The seraph ministered to him in forgiveness and cleansing from sin. There is only ONE who has the ability to forgive sin, that is the Lord Jesus. A live, burning coal upon his lips brought sanctification. It was so hot that it was removed from the altar with tongs. Yet, it was laid upon the lips of Isaiah. Mat. 3:11 HE, Jesus, shall baptize with the Holy Ghost and FIRE. Tongues are vital as a sign of the inward work of grace. But of greater importance is the Fire. Fire, cleanses, it sanctifies, it purges, it sets the individual on fire for the Lord. Fire and the anointing of the Spirit are synonymous. The fire produces a real zeal for the Lord. HIS HAND LAID UPON MY MOUTH. Isa. 6:7 The laying on of hands signifying the imparting of a gift of power. In this case it was the fire of the Lord. Jer. 1:9 In the example of Jeremiah it is very plainly placing the Word of the Lord in his mouth so that he would become the mouth piece or prophet of the Lord. Isa. 2:11 The Lord would touch our lips in this day in order that once again, in this day, the powerful, true Word of the Lord might be declared. THE REMOVAL OF THAT WHICH IS SUPERFLUOUS. Isa. 6:7 Iniquity, COMPLETELY removed. Iniquity, Hebrew, perversity, or moral evil. The weeding out of those unnecessary faults and failures of the flesh. The things that keep the church from participating in the fullness of the blessing of the Lord. Sin purged, exterminated thoroughly from the body of believers. 2 Tim. 2:21 Purging is vital for the preparation of the Bride. The old man must die. The carnal nature must be eradicated from the man who would be a vessel of honor before the Lord. These are Spiritual facts that are easily determined by the study of the WORD. We not only must know them but they must become the very heart and center of our Spiritual man. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 12 NOW HEAR! Isa. 44:1 Exactly to whom is this word of the Lord directed? To Jacob and Israel after the flesh, the natural seed? Ps. 81:11 An indictment against them. They would not hear His voice. They paid no heed to Him. Therefore The Lord gave them up to do their own thing. They continued in their own ways and disregarded the Lord of Glory. The regret of the Lord is expressed, by the words; Oh that my people had hearkened unto me. And had walked in MY ways. While these words are directed to natural Israel, they most certainly apply to spiritual Israel or the church of the first born. The desires of the Lord have never changed toward His people. He is still looking for those who will hear his voice and walk according to His ways as they are made known throughout the Word of God. WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN. Isa. 44:1 Just who are the chosen, the elect of the Lord? 1 Peter 1:2 The Apostle defines for us the chosen, the elect of God. They were chosen in the foreknowledge of the Lord. It does not mean that He picked out certain people and rejected others for whatever purpose. Because He knows the end from the beginning and all that is between, He accepted what would become the history of mankind on the earth. More so the actions and reactions of every individual, who would ever be born, were known to Him. He saw it all and said let it be so and so it is. Eph. 1:4 We were chosen in HIM from before the beginning of this world. Chosen to be lovers of Christ and allow HIS love to permeate our lives. Called to holiness. To be holy for He is holy. Purity of life, of spirit, soul and body are trade marks of the called out ones. Separated to be without fault, without blemish or worldliness of any kind. Revival demands total commitment to the will and ways of the Lord. WITH WHOM HAS HE ESTABLISHED HIS COVENANT? Gen. 17:7 A covenant that is well established, with great strength and assurance. It is an eternal covenant, covering time and eternity. It is accomplished in the seed to come Gal. 3:16 The fulfillment of the promise is to that seed, not many seeds, but the promised seed which is in Christ. Those who are in Christ are the called out ones, the chosen, the elect of God. They are the recipients of grace and not followers because of race. 2 Thes. 2:13 Chosen to be saved, in Christ. More evidence of the work of grace, sanctification, being cleansed and set apart unto the Lord. Learning to allow HIS life to be lived in us. Belief of the truth. Embracing the WORD of GOD as the truth. Without compromise or rejection of any part of it. Having faith in its divine truths and allowing that word to dwell richly in our hearts and lives. The WORD is the revelation of the Lord Jesus. Our obedience to it will be according to our consecration and commitment to the Lord. People of revival will live in the Word. It is their life source. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 13 THE CHOSEN PEOPLE, WHO ARE THEY? Phil. 3:5 Who better to answer that question than the man who was of the stock of Israel. A Hebrew of the Hebrews. A man of great credentials, both of race and grace. The past, lost and exchanged for great gain. v.6 That I may win Christ - what Paul said in DEFINING A JEW. Rom. 2:28-29 The person who is one inwardly, in the spirit and has been circumcised in his heart. Being a NEW CREATURE is of great value. Rom. 11:7 Israel did not obtain what was sought after but THE CHOSEN did. Eph. 5:12 To be without Christ is to be alienated and a stranger from the commonwealth of Israel. In Christ all are citizens having been purchased by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus. Col. 3:20 In Christ, status of life or race has no bearing. All are of one family, the family of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Therefore, we apply Isaiah forty-four to the end of the age and to all who are in Christ, Jew and Gentile. No one is rejected if they come the way of the Lord. MADE BY GOD. Isa.44:2 The Lord is building a Temple for Himself. He will occupy that building eternally. Because He has made it, it will be a work of perfection, pure, holy and manifesting His righteousness. 1 Cor. 3:16 You are the living temple of the living God. His promise is, that He will inhabit His people. He will walk in them, {the secret of the Christian life}, If He is dwelling within and He is walking in us, then we will walk like Him. This would eliminate any problems of living for Christ. Living His life would be as natural as life itself. Eph. 2:10 The work of His creation continues daily and will until the last of His NEW CREATION is finished. FEAR NOT. Isa. 44:2 We have come to an age of fear. One of the signs of the end of the age is that of the hearts of men failing them for fear for the things of the future. The Lord is the help {surround, protect or aid} of His people. He is a very present help in a time of need. Ps. 46:5 This sounds like the Bride. The Lord in the midst. His presence brings confidence and assurance. She is not shaken by the things that come against her. She knows that her help originates with the Lord. Isa. 41:10 I AM WITH THEE, what a promise, He will stand with His own and deliver them in a time of trouble. He is our source of strength. When all else fails He is there to bring His people through every situation. v.11 The enemy, incensed and grossly angry, to be confused, ashamed and defeated. No weapon formed against His church can prosper. The enemy to be made as nothing and to perish. We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us. The promises of His Word are yea and amen. When the spirit of the world is fear, the spirit of the people of the Lord is quietness, confidence and blessings from on high. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 14 THE THIRSTY. Isa. 44:3 To be thirsty is a requisite. Without the strongest of desires one will not achieve the desired goal, particularly in the realm of Spiritual accomplishments. Mt. 5:6 Jesus promised satisfaction to those who display spiritually that which is not an every day experience to the natural man. To hunger after the Lord and the things of the Lord is to search His Word. Some do not have much of an appetite for the Word, therefore become undernourished Christians. Thirst is in the realm of the working of the Spirit of God in our lives. To thirst and hunger after the Lord will create a good balance of Word and Spirit in our lives. This makes for strong Christian lives. John 7:37 It was the last day, that great day of the feast. The day of Atonement. This is the one feast that has not yet been made a living experience to the church of the Lord. It will be a part of the last day revival and the preparation of the Bride of Christ. The invitation is to those who thirst. To those who have a deep longing, a heart felt cry to receive all that the Lord has promised to His people. They will be blest with that overflowing, completely satisfying fullness of the Spirit, for the Lord will thoroughly occupy His Temple with the abundance of Himself. WATERS IN GREAT SUFFICIENCY. Isa. 44:3 Waters poured out from above in great volume. John 7:38 Waters flowing from within the Church that are declared to be rivers {plural} of life giving water. Flowing from the depths of the Spiritual nature of the believer. Floods, on the dry ground. A flood overflows the boundary of its normal course. It spreads across the land watering the dry ground causing both havoc and benefit. A revival takes precedence over the normal. It radically changes the life style and attitudes of those who are blessed to partake in it. The Spirit is being poured out upon the seed or the next generation. This generation of believers are due for a mighty visitation of the Spirit in a measure not yet seen in the history of Christianity. THE INDISPENSABILITY OF WATER. John 3:5 As with the natural, so with the spiritual. Entrance into the Kingdom of God is by the process of birth, NEW BIRTH. A birth that involves both water and spirit. Mk. 16:16 The waters of baptism are a requirement. Jesus said that faith and baptism are needed for salvation. Acts 2:38 Peter, under the inspiration of the Spirit declared that water baptism was essential FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS. Acts 22:16 Ananias exhorted Saul to be baptized and WASH AWAY THY SINS and you shall receive the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. The waters of baptism cannot be over emphasized. Baptism in water is not just a practice of the church but an extremely essential part of the process of becoming what Christ would have us to be. It cannot be over emphasized. As the formation of the natural is in water so is the spiritual. Baptism of itself does not save, but is a MOST IMPORTANT part of the process of NEW BIRTH. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 15 THE SEED AND THE OFFSPRING BLESSED. Isa. 44:3 The Spirit to be poured out, with the blessing of the Lord. Rom. 4:16 There is no question as to which seed this benefit will come upon as we review the Word of the Lord. The promise is to the seed of Abraham, who follow the Lord, according to FAITH and receive the GRACE of God. Those who embrace the law, or may claim their genealogy as descending from the Patriarch may receive the promise of the Lord, only by FAITH. Law or race are not involved and are not a factor. Jn. 14:6 We must remember the words of the Lord Jesus for He made it very plain that there is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus. It is upon the seed of faith that the Spirit will be made manifest in great power and glory in these last days. THE LORD DOES HAVE HIS REQUIREMENTS. Prov. 1:23 There must be a change, a turning at the rebuke of the Lord. There must be a return to the basics of repentance and a responding to the call of the Spirit to walk before the Lord in the full, the whole light of His word. Heb. 12:6 There is one thing that we should never lose sight of, and that is that the discipline of the Lord is the evidence of His love to the disciplined. It is on an individual basis that He deals with us, assuring us that HE cares. We will also see Him work a work of repentance in each individual assembly and in the church world wide. The scourging of the Lord may be a more severe punishment but is further evidence that we have been received as His sons and daughters. This would seem to pose a problem to a generation of the undisciplined. We may have been raised in a permissive manner but if we are going to enjoy all the good things of the Lord, there will be a change. Note, v. 8, ALL are participants of the corrections of the Lord. If not, then we are illegitimate children and do not belong to the family of the Lord. Harsh words? No, the Lord establishes the requirements for family membership and the participation in His benefits. REGENERATION AND RENEWAL. Titus 3:5-6. It seems strange to use the word regeneration, rebirth, in relationship to the church. But Paul, {Gal. 4:19} travailed again for the Galatian church. His prayer was for the forming of the Christ life within them. The beauty of the Christian life is to be made manifest in each and every believer. It will produce an awakening, a reviving and the consequent fullness of blessing. That which is washed of the Lord, in His blood is pure and clean. Subsequently, the renewing, the reviving, the renovation of the Spirit is evidenced. He is the HOLY SPIRIT, the SPIRIT OF HOLINESS. His presence produces holiness. He requires separation from the things of the flesh. He motivates consecration and dedication to the Lord. If we really want to be the recipient of His Spirit, there is a way set before us in His Word. Let us do it and be blest. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 16 PHENOMENAL GROWTH ASSURED. Isa. 44:4 Where there is an abundance of water, grass will readily grow and furnish a beautiful green carpet of life. Like poplar trees, growing in abundance beside a stream. Ps. 1:1-3 As with the natural fruit tree there are certain requirements such as locality, sunshine, water, and pruning. So with the spiritual tree. The atmosphere required for growth is to be separated in our walk from the advice or thinking of the wicked. The Christian walk is extremely important. The life pattern of the sinner is not beneficial to spiritual growth. To have fellowship with the scornful will taint the spirit and develop attitudes that cannot promote growth. Contrariwise, his joy is found in the Word of God and it becomes his constant companion. The one committed to the Lord will be like a tree, deep rooted and fruit bearing. Waters are assured him because of being located by the flowing stream. His leaf, the source of life, for the tree will never wither. Because of the root system there is the ability to draw nutrients from the soil {the Word}, the tree is healthy and strong. Whatsoever that person does will prosper. For a life that is blest of the Lord, fully follow His ways and instructions. THE GOD OF SALVATION. Isa. 12:2 I will trust and not fear. This is the age of fear. Fear is expressed in the world today as much as any other emotion. To illustrate how unreasonable fear is, the safest way to travel is the one most feared. But to those who have confidence in the Lord, JEHOVAH has become our strength and stay. v.3 Facing adversity, we draw living waters from the well of salvation. Our strength is in the joy of the Lord. v. 4 IN THAT DAY. Songs of revival. THE LORD IS PRAISED. Praise from a thankful heart that is filled with the Lord. A spontaneous act that flows from deep within the spirit man. People CALL UPON HIS NAME. He is sought after, not for what He can and does do for us, but by virtue of who He is. Because He is altogether lovely. His works are declared to all people when revival fires burn. HIS NAME IS EXALTED. How well we know that there is no other name that saves. The name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST is a name that His Father bestowed on Him. There is no greater name in heaven nor on earth than His name. Lift His name on high. Shout it, whisper it, it must be constantly be upon our lips. v.5 SING UNTO THE LORD, because of His excellent works. There is no song like the song of true worship unto the Lord. v.6 CRY OUT AND SHOUT. The sound of triumph. There is victory in the camp when the shout of the LORD is heard. THE CAUSE, the greatness of the Lord in the midst of His people. He not only surrounds them, He fills them to overflowing with His presence. He abides within them. He will occupy the Temple of His creation, the word of His hands. The joy and delight of His heart and life. His power and presence ever dwelling within a people of His holiness. They have been made identical to Him. His perfect image. LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 17 A FRIGHTENING VISITATION OF THE SPIRIT. Isa. 33:14 Directed to the sinner, those not truly serving the Lord, but pretending to do so. Because of their spiritual status, the sudden presence of the Spirit in great power and glory with awesome demonstration and discernment will create great fear in them. The question is, WHO will dwell with the fire that consumes? Who will dwell with everlasting burning? WHO CAN LIVE IN THE FIRE? Literally, no one, except! Dan. 3:19 A fire heated seven times hotter than usual. Now, isn't that interesting. Seven is a number that pertains to the end of the age. We may not actually be cast into a furnace of fire, but there will be fires of tribulation, that even the very best of Christians will endure. We will most certainly escape the great tribulation period if we are a part of the Bride. However the fires of persecution are and will burn profusely against the true church in the end of the age. Dan. 3:22 The strongest men in the kingdom were destroyed by the flames of an exceedingly hot furnace. Dan. 3:25 Four men loosed, three had been bound when they were cast into the fire. Now, there are four having fellowship in the fire. Strange that old Nebuchadnezzar would recognize the fourth man as the son of God. The fire of the Son is, brightness, heat and glory far greater than the fire of men. Dan.3:27 THE FIRE HAD NO POWER OVER THEM. Their hair wasn't even singed, their clothes were not burned nor did they even smell of fire. Can the Lord keep us in the fiery trial? He did, He does and He will. This is the fire of men, it has its limits and can be quenched. WHO WILL LIVE WITH THE FIRE? Ex.3:2 The angel of JEHOVAH was in the flame of the burning bush, that was not consumed. The angel of JEHOVAH was a theophany of the Lord Jesus. The fire was the glory of His presence. Moses was called into service at this time. 2 Kings 1:10 Elijah called down fire from heaven against the soldiers who came to take him. v.12 Not once but twice. v.13 The third captain was the man of repentance and plead for mercy. Elijah went with him. Humility works. There are many, many instances of the manifestation of the fire of God. Heb.12:29 We must understand that He is the God of the consuming fire. WHAT THE LORD DOES. Mat. 3:11c The baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire prepares one to live in the fire of God. The Holy Spirit is that vibrant, powerful one who makes manifest the LIVING GOD unto us. Why the fire? Mat. 3:12 His winnowing fork is in his hand. He is ready to separate the wheat and the chaff. He will perfectly cleanse His threshing floor. No remnants of wheat nor chaff. The wheat is gathered into the place prepared for it. Certainly a type of the cleansing of the church in the end of the age. The chaff to be burned with a fire that cannot be extinguished. Will we permit the fire to consume the chaff in us? It will be accomplished in every member of the Bride of Christ. THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 18 THOSE DWELLING WITH THE MOST HIGH. Isa. 33:15 SIX VITAL REQUIREMENTS. 1. The person who walks with the Lord, will dwell with Him. There are some highly important individuals who have walked with God1. and found it to be extremely rewarding. For instance; Gen. 5:24 Enoch walked with God, long enough and close enough, for God to just take him on home. Gen. 13:7 Abram's walk paid off royally. The land on which he walked was to be his gift from the Lord. Gen. 17:1 Abram was urged to walk with God and be the benefactor of the covenant. He was to be and is the Father of many nations. Many others have found this secret of success with the Lord and followed that way which had been established. It is the way of righteousness. Walking in the truths and principals of His Word. It is the path that leads to life eternal. 2. Those who hold the truth in righteousness, who not only speak it but live it as well. The declaration of their mouth is according to the Word, in whatever fashion it is delivered. Be it by preaching, teaching, prophesying or even the interpretation of tongues, it must be that which is just and truthful. 3. They will abhor the modern methods of solicitation which unfortunately are practiced by some religious organizations. If our project is of the Lord and He has been the inspiration for it, surely He knows the need and will supply it, for it is according to His will. Large ministries are prone to build large edifices and consequently are always on the appeal for funds. There is a grave danger of losing sight of the original purpose of preaching the Gospel and becoming embroiled in real-estate. 4. The love of money is the root of all evil. Yet it is a tool that was used by the Lord. Giving is a blessing from the Lord as long as it is given as unto Him. When a gift is given for the purpose of influencing the recipient it is a bribe. In this mercenary age dare it be refused? If the intent is wrong it should be refused regardless of how badly it is needed. The gift of influence will create havoc in the program of the Lord. It simply is not worth accepting. 5. They close their ears from the murderous tongue, which plot to do harm. Character assassination is every bit as wicked as murder. It is possible to bite and devour until any influence that the subject of the conversation may have had is completely destroyed. We speak that which is in our hearts. If you want to know a man, listen to his words. He will tell you what is in his heart. 6. Their eyes are closed to beholding or seeking after the wickedness of this world. The eye gate is the entrance to the soul. Eve saw that the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was tasty and so partook. We are constantly being exposed to those things that create a desire or a longing after. If we avoid the very appearance of evil we will not place ourselves in a compromising position. The Lord has standards and He will help us to meet them. THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 19 THE BLESSEDNESS OF THOSE SERVING THE LORD. Isa. 33:15 His place of abode will be in the heights or with the Lord. He is victorious and not overwhelmed by the troublesome events of this life. Ps. 91:14 There is a reason for the exaltation to this high place. First and foremost is the fact that his love is fixed on the Lord. Secondly, he knows who his God is, His God is not nameless. There are numberless deities who may be called god by those who ignorantly worship them. Those who worship the true God know and appreciate His Name. It is a Triune Name, the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is imperative that we fully understand His Name and what it means. It is the most beautiful, the most wonderful Name that has ever been. The victor's place of refuge is in the craggy mountain top or in the castle of the Lord. He has found that secret place of the most high. His sustenance is assured naturally and spiritually. He feeds on the bread of heaven, the living word. His waters, again naturally and spiritually, are assured. He drinks from that river that flows from the throne of God. THINE EYES SHALL SEE THE KING IN HIS BEAUTY. Isa.33:17 The beauty, the majesty of the Lord is far beyond our expectation. He is King of kings and Lord of lords, therefore His majesty and splendor is above all others. Mt. 17:2 On the Mount of transfiguration the veil of His flesh was removed and His disciples were privileged to see the magnificence that is His. His face glowed like the sun, for He is the light of the world. His glory is so great that it literally caused his garment to glitter and scintillate until it glistened. Not only do we see the King but we will dwell with Him in that eternal land. BEHOLD SION. Isa.33:20 The city in whom the Lord has fulfilled all of His feasts. She has experienced Passover, salvation, Pentecost, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and Tabernacles, the permanent abiding presence of the Lord in His people. She is the New Jerusalem. She is that abode of peace and quietness where peace is found. She is the ever abiding Temple of the living Lord. She is stable and cannot be moved, changed or altered. v. 21 The river of life flows through her. He is her life force. This is not a natural stream for there will be no boats or ships plying these waters. The threefold leadership of the LORD to us is: He is our lawgiver, the law of the spirit of life, our judge and our coming king, as such He is our savior and LORD. Those who dwell in the Sion of the Lord will be able to unequivocally say, MY SINS ARE FORGIVEN. Ps. 103:3 This is a promise that is in full effect now and will be in absolute perfection in Sion. All, and only those whose sins are cleansed will be found in that City. It is the City of the great King. No sickness, no sin will ever be found in His City, eternally. THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH. 20 Isa. 56:1 The blessing of maintaining judgment The ability to discern between that which is right and wrong and acting upon the right. Justice, moral right in the sight of the Lord. The ability that is granted us of the Lord. We are not kept by our own power or works but by His Spirit dwelling within us. This is a message for today. The ultimate of salvation is soon to be made known. The fullness of His righteousness will be revealed in His church. Ps. 24:3 The question is asked, who will be found in the eternal house of the Lord. v.4. The response is fourfold. First, clean hands, hands that worship the Lord and are not given over to iniquity. Second, a pure heart, how important the attitude and condition of the heart is before God. The God of purity expects purity in His people. Third, his soul is not filled with the vanity of this life, the pride of life or worship in the flesh and not in the Spirit. Fourth, there is no deceit in his mouth or life, in word or deed. The requirements of the Lord are constantly being made known in His Word. THE MAN THAT IS BLESSED OF THE LORD. Isa. 56:2 The Lord Himself, is a man of action and expects those who follow Him to be likewise. The man who is pursuing the will of the Lord. Finding it he lays hold of the same, holding it fast, and fulfills it. The man who honors the {Sabbath}, or rest of the Lord. While under the New Testament economy we do not keep Sabbath as they did under the law, we are not free from a rest and time of worship that is given to the Most High. Isa. 28:11-12 The rest for the church of today is in the infilling of the Spirit. Here we cease from our own work and effort and allow the Spirit to work in and through us. There is as much difference as night and day between that which is done with the effort of man and that which is accomplished by the Spirit. A SPECIAL MESSAGE. Isa. 56:3-7 Addressed to the stranger and the eunuch - those who might not fit the norm and as such are excluded. If they cling to the covenant of the Lord and do those things that please Him, they will have a special place in the house of the Lord. They will be given a gift that is better than offspring and that is a name that is everlasting and will not be cut off. The sons of strangers, maybe a little racism present, if they love the name of the Lord and fulfill His word they will be found in the holy mountain of the Lord. There they will find joy and their offerings will be accepted. Surely, the Lord is no respecter of persons. The house of prayer, here is the secret of any and every revival that the world has ever known. They are all birthed in sincere, heartfelt prayer and the seeking of the face of the Lord. v.8 An open door and a call not only to the outcasts of Israel but to all the peoples of the earth. True revival cannot be restricted to a building nor a city. Revival is like a forest fire, it roars its way over mountain and into the valleys. A conflagration that consumes all in its path. Lord send the fire!!!! THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 21 A VERY SPECIAL CALL TO THE CHURCH. Isa. 60:1 It is time to rouse up from lethargy and serve the Lord with a whole heart. The last days are to be days of great spiritual activity in the true church. She is alive and awake. Vibrant with the working of the Spirit constantly and fully manifest in her. Song 2:10 She has heard the call of her beloved and will respond to Him. Their love is perfect and unlimited. Their love is the what love is all about. They love as only God can love. SHINE. Show forth the glory of the Lord. Your light, the light that is the LORD. That true light, the light that blazes forth to all the world. That day when the understanding and doctrine of the bride will be one. When the workings and moving of the Spirit will be according to the will of the Lord and not of man, no imperfection but pure and absolute perfection. Isa. 52:8 An absolute unity and blending together in song, pure harmony. Like the one hundred twenty trumpets, of absolute agreement, until their sound was one. When the true Zion is restored they will minister with the comprehension of the Spirit and the Word. They will see eye to eye. Eph.4:5 One faith or doctrine. This is the way it should be and shall be in the church of His perfection. THE GLORY OF THE LORD. That glory poured forth on the church of His love. The church, is the apple of His eye. The joy and delight of His very being. That glory is a visible and very real glory. Ex. 24:16 The glory of the Lord rested on the mountain. v. 17 God called Moses to go up into that glory. Ex. 34:29 When Moses descended from Sinai his body had absorbed that glory and it shined with the effulgence of that marvelous light that is the glory of the Lord. That glory can be and obviously is transmitted to those who please the Lord. Mark 9:2 Jesus is our prime example. On the mount of transfiguration He went through a distinct change before His disciples until even His clothing took on a different hue and begin to shine or flash intently. It became exceedingly white {luke, light} A majestic display of how the glory of God is displayed. Acts 6:15 Stephen was seen as an angel by those who condemned him to death. Most certainly it was not his good looks that they saw but the glory of the Almighty. Mt. 13:43 The righteous will shine forth as the sun in the glorious kingdom of the Father. Rev. 1:16 Jesus in that kingdom will shine as the sun on a clear day, in the fullness of its glory. There can be no darkness in the eternal kingdom of God for there is no night there. Darkness could not exist in the overwhelming light of the kingdom of light. Rev. 12:1 Then there is that beautiful work that will be accomplished in the Bride of Christ where she is standing on light, clothed with light and crowned with light as well as being filled with light. As our Lord is, she is a creature of pure light. The mighty glory of the Lord will shine forth from her even as light streams from our sun. He has made her to be what He wanted her to be and she gladly sought to be like Him. THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 22 THE DARKNESS SHALL COVER THE EARTH. Isa. 60:2 The Hebrew word used sounds just like the day in which we are living. Chosek, darkness, figuratively, misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness. Any one of which can be greatly multiplied as a description amply fitting the atmosphere of the world in which we live. Isa. 20:19-20 Those in darkness presenting a challenge for God to speed up His work. To finish it off, they do not believe that He is, or that there is an end to all this. While they twist and attempt to alter sin and iniquity, making unrighteousness to be righteousness, and so on. God pronounces His judgment upon them. This is darkness. Ps.112:4 As always, those who walk with the Lord find adversity to be a time of opportunity. In the midst of a troubling situation whether it be personal or international, there is light. The Lord will care for His own. DARKNESS is an application of judgment brought upon the ungodly. Ex.10:21-23 The raised hand of Moses brought a deep darkness on Egypt because of their refusal to let them go. It was a darkness that could be felt, a thick darkness. Truly that was the darkness of darkness. They were as good a blind for three days for they could not see one another and could not move about. That would have been exceedingly frightening. The marvel of all this is the fact that the children of Israel had light in their dwellings for this same period of time. Ex. 14:19-20 The angel of God and the pillar of cloud was a guide to Israel. When it moved, backward between the camp of Israel and the Egyptians it manifest its miracle working power. To Israel it was their light but to the Egyptians it was darkness. The things of the Lord are understood by those who are committed to Him and are led by Him. While those who do not know the Lord are left in total darkness and are amazed that people serve the Lord. Ex. 14:24-25 At the last watch of the night the Lord looked upon the Egyptians, through the cloud and caused confusion to come into their camp. He also removed the wheels from their chariots. What a most effective maneuver. The Lord knows how to fight our battles for us, if we would just let Him. THE DAY OF THE LORD. Joel 2:1 An alarm and a trumpet to be sounded as an introduction to that day. If it were nigh at hand in the days of the Prophet Joel, how much closer it is today. Joel saw that day as a day of extreme darkness. A day of gloom, a day of misfortune. A time when mankind will realize that they had missed the day of salvation. A day of thick clouds shutting out the light. Amazingly, he is describing a mass of people, like a great cloud spread across the horizon, a great army, such as had not been nor ever shall be again. Any army that the Lord assembles will be victorious. This one cannot be stopped. THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 23 ALAS FOR THE DAY. Joel 2:31 Significant signs that must take place before the return of the Lord . The sun to be darkened, what blackness and darkness. The moon to be turned into blood, the sign of the Son of man. These are events that precede that great day but it is also one horrible day for the ungodly. Zeph. 1:14-15 Another prophet declaring that great day. It will be a day of bitter tears for the man of strength and wealth, neither will avail. A day where the wrath of the Lord will be displayed creating troubled and distressed people. All the works of men will be destroyed. Again it is a day of great darkness, gloom. clouds and darkness. Acts 17:31 The Lord has determined a day in which He will judge the world by Christ Jesus. That is a set day and nothing can, nor will be done to alter it. THE LORD SHALL ARISE UPON THEE. Isa. 40:2 True to the past workings of the Lord, once again in the time of darkness He will manifest His glory. The word arise (Heb. zarach), is well chosen here, for it means to irradiate (or shoot forth beams), i.e. to rise (as the sun), to appear). The entirety of the glory of the Lord will be manifest in His bride. Song 6:10 The expression of the heart of The Lord toward His bride. She is the beauty of the ages, of time and eternity. She will appear as the most beautiful of sunrisings. The breaking forth of a new day. She has been created for that new day, that eternal day. Without her, the plan of God would have been thwarted. She is the ultimate, the intent and the very plan of the Lord. Salvation is important; without it she could not have been brought into being but the BRIDE is the full achievement of all the plans and purposes of the Lord. After all, she is HIS bride. She is HIS Queen. The one most important to HIS heart. She is as beautiful as the moon. The moon turned to blood, the sign of the death of Christ. Her beauty comes from her redemption. As the moon lightens the darkness of the night, so the Bride will shine her brightest in the utter darkness of the day of the Lord. The Hebrew word for moon (lebanah) means; the white. Is there anything more pure than the bride who has made herself ready? She has put on the garments of holiness and righteousness. She is majestic in her shining forth of the glory of the Most High. All languages are like a pauper when it comes to describing her. Her beauty is far beyond the ability of man to portray her. She is the ultimate beauty. She is clear (Heb. bar, beloved, pure, empty, choice, clean). Sanctified and emptied of self, making her the object of his great love, she shines forth as the sun. No wonder, for she is filled and clothed with the everlasting glory of the Lord. She is the accomplishment of the ages of redemption. She is a fearsome sight to unsaved and ungodly. They see her not as an object of beauty but as an enemy and a great destroying army. What is glorious to the Lord is always a source of fear and fright to man. Light to the righteous, darkness to the unrighteous. THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 24 THE PROCESS OF THE LORD. Isa. 43:1 A people who are redeemed. The intent and purpose of the Lord can only be accomplished in a people who have been washed by the blood of Christ. Those who hold the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus on Calvary in highest regard and honor that offering of God. The Father gave His Son that He might redeem a people unto Himself. 1 Pet. 1:18 That which cannot redeem; the corrupt finances of silver and gold. Redemption cannot be purchased. Vain conduct, the traditions of the fathers or the Law and all accompanying practices. v. 19 Ransomed form the grip of sin and death, only by the precious blood of Christ. There is no other way. Heb. 9:12 Our great high priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, gained entrance into the presence of His Father, only by His own blood. As sinless and perfect as He was, heaven could only be gained by the sacrifice and offering of His blood. Jesus was a man, a human being, born of a woman and therefore had to be redeemed as all other men must be. If He gained access by blood alone and not by His good works, how much more must all mankind be redeemed by His blood, and not by works. A WORK OF CREATION. Isa. 43:1 Created of the Lord for His own purpose and goal. Isa. 45:8 The outpouring of the Spirit, raining down righteousness on the church. A time of the moving of the Spirit of the Lord in cloud bursts of the latter rain. This is the manner in which He will create His church in the end of the age. Holiness must be her watchword and cry, holiness unto the Lord. The mighty flood waters will sweep away all that is not of the Lord. The superfluous, the garbage, every unspiritual act and practice must be swept aside until that which remains is correct and proper before the Lord. Eph. 2:10 In creation the Lord saw the work of His hands, that it was good. His creation was perfect. Now, WE are His workmanship, created in Christ. His creation in the end of the age will be the ultimate of perfection, for it is Christ. The works of the Lord will be manifest in her, as the very actions of God Himself. MOLDED INTO HIS LIKENESS. Isa. 63:1 Shaped and formed according to His holy will. Gal. 4:19 Paul prayed for the Galatians that Christ, the Christ life, the Christ character and nature be molded and shaped within each and every one of them. The intent of the Lord has not changed. It is His desire that the life of Christ be the overwhelming factor of our lives. That means total devotion and commitment to His way and will. Rom. 8:29 The believer is predestined to be made into His image and likeness. The true church will completely conform to every intent and design that the Lord has for her. The Word and the Spirit of the Lord will change and alter our individual lives until we all bear His likeness and image. He will blend us together until we have the mind of Christ and think and act in perfect accord with Him. THE LAST DAY REVIVAL AS SEEN IN ISAIAH 25 FEAR NOT. Isa. 43:1 With the occurrence of recent events we have seen a spirit of fear grip the hearts of multitudes. 1 Jn.4:18 Fear creates stress. It imprisons the mind and spirit. There are a multitude of phobias that afflict mankind, all of which are not of God, but of the evil one who uses fear to torment the mind and spirit. Where the love of the Lord dwells there is no fear. Love is victorious over fear. His perfect love and our confidence in that love, will eradicate fear. Perfect love is full and gives absolute victory over the powers of darkness. Where fear is a factor in the Christians life we need to measure our love for the Lord. Fear is a component of life in these last days. The only answer is to completely enter in to the love of the Lord and to love Him with all of our hearts. He said; FEAR NOT! REDEEMED AND CALLED. Isa. 43:1 The redeemed are called to repentance. They are called to walk with the Lord and to be His prized possession. Rom. 8:30 Predetermined not to redemption but to the ultimate result of redemption which is to be like Christ. None are excluded from redemption, Christ bore the sin of all men. There was not a sin committed, nor will there ever be, for which He has not paid the redemptive price. The invitation is extended to the whosoever will. The one responding to the call is the one benefited and to be justified. The climax of justification is to be glorified. Glorified as the Bride of Christ. Glorified as the redeemed of the Lord in His eternal new heavens and new earth. The glory of the Lord will be upon His redeemed. DELIVERANCE ASSURED. Isa. 43:2 Water is a vital element to the continuation of life on our planet. It is also representative of the flow of the Spirit. However waters, (plural} can depict just the opposite. Isa. 17:12-14 The nations in upheaval. A time of distress and troubles. But it is God who fights for His own and will rebuke the enemy. Mt. 24:9 This not an easy thing to accept, especially so when we are living a peaceful life, without too much personal disturbance as far as persecution is concerned. As certain as any other sign of the last days and the coming of Christ is the statement that Jesus made. There is affliction and horrible persecution for the sake of Christ in many nations of the world today. Every day there are martyrs who are giving their lives for the Gospel. There must be and will be those who die. There will also be those who receive wonderful and miraculous deliverance. Acts 6:5 A man full of the Holy Spirit and a man of great faith. Acts 6:8 Full of faith and power doing wonders and miracles. Seemingly one who was of great benefit and use to the Lord and to the church. Yet he is to become the first to die for the Word of God in the early church. There will be many like him in these last days who will be privileged to give their lives for the Lord. Other will be delivered in a miraculous way. To be or not to be, either way is glorious. The end. 07:02 04-07-03 Complete. 07:11 6/11/2004 formatting edited eof
