YOUR GIFT IS IN HIS NAME UNTO YOU IS BORN A SAVIOR, WHICH IS CHRIST THE LORD. Luke 2:11 From the very beginning the importance of His name was declared. He came to deliver those who would believe on His name from their sin and sickness. Paul was to acclaim the LORD JESUS CHRIST to be that Savior. Titus 1:4 Salvation is not to be found in the name of a church, or religion, nor in the name of a holy man - be he proclaimed to be a prophet or a savior. There is but one name under heaven whereby salvation may be obtained and that is the name of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 There is but one who has the capability of a mediator between the Lord and man, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who will believe that He is who He says He is, and will confess Him as the Lord Jesus Christ, will find the salvation that He so freely proffers. Acts 16:31 THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. The exercise of faith in His name is the sure way of justification. The state of being just and righteous before the Lord of heaven and earth. The positive work of His justification, in us, not only produces a pure conscience but also a life that is filled with the peace of heart, soul and mind that so many are desperately seeking today. Rom. 5:1 One of the great miracles that took place in the early church was that of the healing of the man who had been lame from his birth and was carried daily to the temple where his livelihood was provided by begging. Peter was able to impart not only a healing but a complete restoration to the body of this man. So much so that immediately his feet and ankle bones were made strong. He then walked through the temple leaping and praising the Lord. This marvelous healing took place in the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 3:6 Through faith in that name. Acts 3:16 It is an imperative that salvation and healing by accomplished through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS. To an agreement that the Godhead has given to the Son a name which is above every name that is named. There is no more powerful name, there is no more wonderful name, there is no name that is higher than His name. Phil. 2:9 His name is everlasting. His name is to be praised and worshipped. To the name of Jesus every knee will bow and confess that He is who and what the Word of the Lord makes Him to be. Every tongue, in heaven (naturally), on earth and under the earth will solemnly confess that this Jesus is indeed gloriously proclaimed by His Father, not only as His Son, but also that the Father has made this Jesus to be both Lord and Christ. Please note that in this great moment of time, this strong admission of the might and power of the Lord Jesus Christ is to the glory of God the Father. Phil. 2:11 His name definitely identifies Him and makes it plain to all that all spiritual blessings originate and proceed from that one who bears the greatest name of time and all of eternity. Use His name that all who hear you may attest to the fact that your preaching and testimony is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ who received that name, in its entirety, from His Father. incomplete 20:09 26/12/2004 formatting edited eof
